Over the weekend....

The weekend went by so fast (as they always do). We attended Tyler's 1st birthday bash at the Charcoal Pit off of Kirkwood Hwy. on Saturday. Steve wasn't in attendance because he was celebrating with his son, but it was still a fantastic time. Shelley was there to make sure we felt at home. Our waitress was most gracious and helpful through it all---and Tyler made sure to make a mess with his cake! (sorry about that!) Dave was there too :)


Tara passed along pictures in an email from the day. I will post some of them here. If you didn't receive them, I can forward them along to you. Tyler was not interested in eating his cake. He pretty much just grabbed a piece, tried to feed Tara with it, then throw it on the floor!


BUT---he did like his presents. You'll see one picture where he was loving and hugging on a stuffed animal. It was precious.

Then, there was a xylophone or piano thing that he loved banging on.

Collin is full of smiles these days. He will smile and laugh if you smile at him. It's truly adorable. I can't get enough of it. He's eating a lot better the daycare lady said. Collin has had a problem spitting up (what baby doesn't?....or so I've heard), and we tried him on different formulas to help him, but nothing really worked. We tried putting rice cereal in his bottle, and that does seem to help him keep it down. Keeping him elevated and not wobbled around is great too!!

I know these are a little BUT I'm all about posting pictures of our little honey. I'm going to try and start from the beginning and aim to get up to the present. So, here was mr. Collin's first day into the world!

First entry, 2 months late...

Hello everyone!

I've decided to start a blog for everyone who's far (and near) to see how our newest member of the family (and friends) is doing. I will try my best to keep this updated with pictures and stories of Collin, Shawn, Tara & Tyler---as well as myself!

Tyler just had his first birthday yesterday. There were some cute cupcake photos taken (which, hopefully, I will post tonight). Tyler was a little under the weather with a runny nose. He wasn't very interested (after many attempts made by mommy & daddy) in opening his presents, but he did manage to get his cupcake everywhere! It was in his hair, behind his ears, under his high chair--everywhere!! He really loved it.
